Join us as we explore building a regional home for youth sports and community recreation.
At Murrieta Recreation Foundation we are developing a regional ice rink and community facility to serve families across Southwest Riverside County.
From learn-to-skate to high school hockey and regional tournaments. Families and community organizations will gain year-round access to programs and events closer to home.
The foundation was formed by local community members who recognized a regional gap in ice access in Southwest Riverside County. We want to create a destination that supports youth sports, community recreation and local economic activity.
We are working to build a collaborative public-private framework that can responsibly advance the project while ensuring long-term community benefit.
Our mission is to develop a regional ice sports and recreation facility that expands access to youth hockey, figure skating, public programs, and community events across the Temecula Valley. As a nonprofit-led project, we are committed to a community-first model in which revenues generated by the facility are reinvested into local programs, expanded recreation opportunities, and future improvements.
Demand for indoor recreation and ice sports continues to grow, while local access to facilities remains limited. As a result, many families and teams travel outside the region for training and competition.
A new regional facility could provide year-round programs for youth hockey, figure skating, learn-to-skate participants and community events. By hosting tournaments and regional activities, the project could also bring visitors to the area and support local economic vitality.

The project is currently in planning and partnership discussions. The preliminary development pathway includes site evaluation, feasibility analysis, funding coordination and community engagement as the initiative advances.

We are working with experienced professionals across sports facility development, municipal finance and public-private partnership structuring, architecture and construction feasibility, ice facility engineering and operations, youth sports programming, and regional economic development.

Your support helps bring a permanent ice and recreation facility to Murrieta, creating opportunities for youth sports, community programs and regional events. Every contribution moves the project closer to becoming a reality for families across the valley.

Community involvement is essential to making this project happen. Residents, local businesses, volunteers, and civic leaders all play a role in shaping the future of recreation in Murrieta. Whether through events, outreach, sponsorship, or advisory support, there are many ways to participate.

Our goal is to develop a regional ice and recreation destination that expands youth sports access, supports community programming, and brings new events and economic activity to Murrieta. By creating a year-round facility designed for families and athletes alike, the project aims to strengthen local quality of life and regional pride.
Together, we can create positive change. Support our cause and help us make a lasting impact on the community.
